SERE Instructors

Job Responsibilities
• Conduct classroom instruction; field training, and/or SERE technical training in accordance with all applicable documents, publications, and references.
• Provide the Government training manager with recommendations for validating training, syllabi, and instructor guides for academic and operations SERE training aids and presentations for instructors.
• Manage, train, and conduct instructor certification during on-post laboratory and field training operations.
• Track, maintain, and update training logs, student handouts, and note taking guides.
• Work may be required on holidays and weekends in addition to regular hours. SERE instructors are Mission Essential personnel, and required work even in inclement weather conditions.

Required Qualifications
• U.S. citizen, able to read, write, and fluently speak English
• Active SECRET clearance, at a minimum
• Current, valid driver's license
• Pass a Government proctored human-factors psychological evaluation and background investigation.
• Graduate of a DoD approved Level C SERE Full Spectrum course to include Wartime, Peacetime Governmental Detention (PGD), and Hostage Detention (HD) prior to the start of employment. This can be accomplished by either graduating from a course that combines all three phases listed above or having graduated separately from each of the courses. The course may be the Army, Air Force or Navy equivalent SERE courses.
• Knowledge in all aspects of field and technical training tactics, techniques, and procedures (i.e. personal protection, building shelters and fires, preparation of fish and game, preserving food and water, plant and wildlife identification, sanitation and hygiene practices, survival methods/techniques, escape and evasion, air/sea/land ex-filtration, cross cultural communications, physical and psychological aspects of captivity, clandestine communication, resistance to exploitation, personnel recovery, CSEL radio operations, map reading, land navigation, compass utilization, Global Positioning Systems (GPS) utilization, interrogation methods, and the U.S. Military Code of Conduct).
• Knowledge and skill in the TRADOC approved systems approach to training methodologies, to include evaluations, analysis, design, development, and implementation of individual and collective training plans, lesson plans, training scenarios, and Programs of Instruction (POIs).
• Adequate physical fitness with the ability to lift/carry 45 pounds, walk up to six (6) miles per day with a rucksack, provide up to eight (8) consecutive hours of instruction, and operate in austere field conditions.
• Additional qualifications desired are: Qualified Lifeguard and Completed an approved DoD Instructor Trainer’s course (ITC), or other equivalent course, (e.g. attended a TRADOC approved instructor-training course while on active duty-JRTIC, SERE IQC.

PASHTO/U AND DARI LINGUIST

Job Description and Duties
Amidon Contracting Solutions is seeking linguists who speak both Pashtu and Dari. Those linguists will provide operational contract linguist support to U.S. Army operations in various locations worldwide as follows: Interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences; Interpret and translate written and spoken communications; Transcribe and analyze verbal communications; Perform document exploitation. Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information; Translate and review foreign language documents. Identify and extract information components meeting military information requirement list criteria; Provide input to reports; Linguists are required to work 12-hour shifts and in excess of 60-hour weeks in order to provide continuous contract linguist support that this 24 x 7 operation requires; Linguists must be available for worldwide deployment as the mission dictates.

Background and Experience
Minimum required: An excellent command of both Pashtu and Dari, as well as strong verbal and written American English skills (grammar, vocabulary, idioms, spelling) because linguist work products are prepared in English. Must hold a current U.S. passport. (or apply as soon as accepted into the program). Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be willing to travel/work in various locations worldwide. Ability to deal unobtrusively with the local populace.
